Two power modes
There are two power modes – Max mode or Eco mode – to suit any washroom. Busy washrooms such as train stations or stadiums with high footfall need to quickly dry people’s hands. Max mode uses 900W, drying hands efficiently in 10 seconds, and using 10.7 kJ energy per dry. Eco mode may be preferable for washrooms with comparatively lower footfall, for example offices or restaurants. This mode dries hands in 12 secondsi, using only 9.1kJ energy per dry.

Curved Blade design
Two 0.45 mm curved apertures create 624km/h sheets of air that follow the contours of your hands, scraping off water, in less time. To dry hands in as little as 10 seconds. Dyson engineers have been carrying out many calculations in order to determine the most ergonomic drying angle and concludes that the blades needs to be positioned at an angle of 70° for comfortable hand drying.

HEPA filter
Dyson owns an in-house microbiology lab. Having our own microbiology lab allows us to continuously test, and reflect the findings to the development of our machines quickly to ensure we are drying hands with clean air. The Dyson Airblade 9kJ hand dryer uses a fleece-lined glass fiber HEPA filter. It is 2.2 meters long and folded 63 times. It captures 99.95% of particles, including bacteria and viruses so that the air which exits the Dyson Airblade 9kJ is hygienically clean
